Night Auditor

Job Description
Our 49 room Boutique Hotel overlooking the harbour is looking for a Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent to join our team. The Audit shifts we are currently looking to fill are Thursday, Friday, Saturday 12:00am to 8:00am with the addition of two afternoon shifts. We are looking for a friendly individual who enjoys being around people and who can manage multiple tasks at once. Our ideal candidate would have previous customer service experience and will understand the importance of responding to guest’s needs in a timely manner. If you’ve worked in the hospitality industry before, we definitely want to talk to you.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for checking guests in and out while providing a pleasant experience
  • Operation of switchboard and related functions
  • Present statements of charges to departing guests and receiving payments
  • Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized or manual systems.
  • Verify and balance daily charges to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts ensuring all required documentation is obtained. Follow specific checklists and credit procedures.
  • Balance the rooms audit and post all daily room and outstanding charges.
  • Review all credit card vouchers for proper imprints, authorizations and correct amounts.
  • Run computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next day’s use in balancing of applicable functions
  • Works as part of the overall team to ensure the hotel’s effective operation
  • Maintain a clean and neat front desk area
  • Communicate guests’ request and complaints to the appropriate department
  • Previous hotel front office experience is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Must be detail oriented and an experienced problem solver
  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
  • A team player with positive attitude
  • Strong computer skills necessary including experience with Microsoft word and Outlook
