Job Description

Rainbow Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ltd. has an opening for a progressive and motivated individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Technician. Candidates require a very strong work ethic with a professional, courteous, customer focused background. Applicant should have experience in all facets of automotive maintenance and repair. Preference will be given to a licensed, Chrysler trained technician although 3rd or 4th year apprentices will also be considered.

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various makes and models of vehicles in a busy dealership environment.

Hours of Work: 40 hours a week

Major Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis of customer concerns
  • Inspection, repair and maintenance of various vehicles
  • Installation of accessories
  • Work with service advisors to recommend preventative maintenance and necessary repairs
  • Mentor apprentice technicians
  • Complete required training & job knowledge and fulfill all licensing requirements
  • Enhance the dealership’s reputation by providing excellent customer service
  • Perform any other duties as required

 

Requirements:

  • Red Seal Certified Automotive Technician or 3rd or 4th year apprentice
  • Dynamic self-starter, detail focused, extremely well organized with excellent time management skills
  • Should have the initiative and drive to achieve service targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Should able to converse with service staff in an effective manner with a solid command of the English language
  • Ability to work independently with a flexible work schedule while being punctual and reliable
  • Good computer and typing skills
  • Broad understanding of automotive industry
  • Valid, clean, BC Driver’s license
